Hello 2010. Glad you’re here. For the last year I have been working on a new photography collection called Spiritus Obscura. Much of the time has been spent experimenting with lighting and process. I finally feel, as 2009 closed, that I’ve found a groove. So now, in 2010 I am putting much focus on this set and working on talking with publishers as my hope is to publish volume 1 this year. These photos represent only a tiny handful of what has been shot, but what is to be expected in the book. Here’s the description, or artists statement if you will, of what I hope to represent and accomplish with the collection. (warning: some images contain nudity. must be 18, or older, to view)

Excited to be showing with some of my favorite artists in December. Haute Macabre and the Museum of Death present Induced Epidemics, running from December 5 through December 29. Featuring the works of fifteen artists, celebrating a collective love for all things macabre in various forms of media.
Opening night at The Chaos Gallery, in Hollywood, CA, Saturday, December 5, at 8PM!
UPDATE: Thanks to Cherry Vega, at Répandre la Lumière, for taking some great photos of the opening night.

If you’re anywhere near Hollywood be sure to check out the upcoming show, “The Thin Veil” at Antebellum Gallery. I’ll be showing several pieces from my “Spiritus Obscura” series, along with a great group of artists showing work in just about every medium. The opening reception takes place on October 17th, 7 to 9pm. The show runs through November 19th. For location and other important information visit the Antebellum Gallery website.
Finished up the Josh Cole Photography and Illustration store thanks to the store solution the folks at Big Cartel have developed.
If you’re interested in any of my latest prints they can now be purchased here.
