Born in 1973, Joshua Cole, the son of a sculptor/biker dad and hippy chick/biker mom, grew up in Phoenix, AZ before moving east in 1997.

“It doesn’t matter one bit what you choose to do in life, just make sure you’re happy doing it”. Words spoken into his life by his father and words that Josh lives by today. Since he was a child Josh watched his dad’s creativity birthed in the form of sculpture. Watching this was nothing less than inspirational and a model of his dad’s words in action. This set the wheels in motion on the journey to whom Josh would become creatively. Through this journey he has worked his creativity out through various mediums and found a special place residing in his heart for photography. And deeper still, a love for storytelling. When he’s not shooting Josh is exploring this storytelling through illustration and the written word as well.
Josh shoots conceptual advertising, fashion and fine art photography and enjoys the art of building a great set, the dot connecting that comes with navigating a production of any size and mixing a good cocktail.
Josh Cole currently calls Nashville, Tennessee home and spends as much time as possible between Chicago, Philadelphia and New York. Of course, he’ll never turn down the opportunity to travel anywhere else necessary to successfully tell a story.
